This weekend I had a chance to try three of the cocktails off the menu of La Bottega, one of the restaurants at the Maritime Hotel in Chelsea. I’ve always thought the Maritime was a cool building, and the patio where we sat was a great outdoor location for summer dining. The service, however, is not to be recommended - we got sent back and forth between the two sides of the restaurant (one for dinner, one for cocktails and lighter fare) and one of my dining companions never received her food at all! Still, the cocktail options were interesting and rather enjoyable. I’d definitely recommend the first two, and while the Gin & Stormy was perfectly fine in the end I think I’d just rather have a proper Dark & Stormy. All three were all served on the rocks.
